the reason i say "real" design competition is because recently my friend mary mac and i entered a theoretical competition. the competition was for a michael jackson monument- put on by archinect. there were no program or site requirements and we are still waiting on the results. this one was really just for fun on our own...and the hope of winning the itunes MJ music collection, but it did get the creative juices flowing again!
the good news is that we have found the "real" design competition that we want to enter and yesterday we received a blessing from our office to use some "on the clock" time for this and enter on behalf of the firm. if nothing else, it will put our name out there in the international design community. that said, i'm going to keep the competition under wraps until we have officially registered, etc. but stay tuned!
