the list

okay, obviously i've been inspired by the movie "julie & julia." if you haven't seen this movie, you should. julie is a 30ish girl living in queens (gasp) looking for some direction in her life. she ends up writing a blog about cooking her way through julia child's most famous cook book. naturally, i don't feel i can simply imitate what she did. nor could my metabolism afford all the butter. however, i do really like the idea of having a goal or goals again. so by combining the suggestions of several friends i am going to make a list of 31 things that i would like to accomplish, places i might want to go, home improvement, things i want to learn, etc. currently the list is a work in progress and i'm willing to consider suggestions and vetos. in fact, my very good friend michelle already vetoed one of my easier goals - before it was even published - by insisting that my penmanship is too nice to make printed address labels. this may be up for debate. in any case, i need your help in coming up with more goals (31 is a lot!) and setting some time lines for some of them.

  1. If not church per se, something that feeds your spiritual side. Meditation? It can be really powerful.

  2. #18 - what about yoga?

half marathon?? WOW! you go girl! i'm thinking about running the turkey trot on thanksgiving, but that's only a 5K.

what is your timeline for completing this list? some seem like long-term goals and some seem like things you could do in a weekend.

i'll try to think of some more things!
